INTRODUCTION

Supplemental Food Plan (RMT) is fully implemented by the Ministry of Education since 1979. It is an additional food aid to the poor primary school students and aims to provide nutritious food with balanced nutrients to help students concentrate on learning in the classroom. For the purpose of implementing the Supplemental Food Plan Programme (RMT) in primary schools, the rate was fixed at
RM1.80/pupil/day for Peninsula Malaysia and RM2.05/pupil/day for Sabah, Sarawak and Federal Territory of Labuan

OBJECTIVE
  • Provide nutritious and balanced additional food to pupils from the poor community to help them overcome various problems in terms of growth and lack of energy
  • Maintain health and nutrition practices directly and indirectly
  • Foster a culture of courtesy, discipline, consideration and required practices related to hygiene, food hygiene and environmental hygiene
