INTRODUCTION

Supplemental Food Programme of Full Cream Milk Powder has been started since the 1970s. Initially, this program was a short-term program introduced to help rehabiltate nutritional problems such as underweight among children, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and children. The program is expected to contribute towards the improvement of the nutritional status and health of antenatal mothers, postnatal mothers as well as children.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the program is to help prevent and restore nutritional problems such as underweight and iron deficiency among the target groups by supplying 1 kg of full-cream milk powder for at least 3 months.

ACTIVITIES HELD

Breastfeeding antenatal and postnatal mothers should be given 1 kg of full-cream milk powder for 3 consecutive months. However, the aid may be extended under the following conditions:
