INTRODUCTION

Healthy Catering Training is a training targeted at owners of restaurants, food outlets, cafeterias, catering, fast food restaurant operators and operators of school and workplace canteens. This training is aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills of food handlers on healthy and safe food preparation. This training includes components such as Principles of Healthy Eating and Healthy and Safe Food Preparation. A total of 27.383 food operators throughout Malaysia were trained from 2004 to 2012.

This training is open to all food operators throughout Malaysia. This training is compulsory for food operators providing services at health facilities to attend. Training applications can be made by filling out the Application Form for Healthy Catering Training at the Headquarters of Ministry of Health. Application forms should be submitted not later than 7 working days prior to the date of training.
